Overseas Student Living City Ambassador Recruitment (Part-time)
www.overseasstudentliving.com is the first Chinese overseas student accommodation search engine. We provide accommodation information and guides for students and aim to be the place for Chinese students to find details of all properties available to rent in the UK and Ireland.
Last summer was our first booking season and we had a very successful booking rate. Our plan for next year is to do even better and we would like to invite you to join our team to help as write content and process bookings.
We are currently offering part time positions that will provide you with excellent work experience during your degree.
Job Description
Responsibilities for creating content for our website:
• Be the “local knowledge” specialist in your town or city
• Provide useful and current tips to students about living in your town or city
• Provide quality content such as articles on safety, housing, things to do, looking for part time jobs, renewing visa, getting a mobile phone etc. specific to your town or city
• Network locally with the university, and the Chinese student community
• Update Chinese students union about activities like travelling, Chinese celebrations
• Help with providing careers advice to graduates on our website by adding links to graduate programs, giving useful tips on planning your career etc.
Responsibilities for processing bookings:
• You will receive a training session on the booking process in order to be able to process bookings independently
• You will work closely with our bookings team in Shanghai and in London to complete bookings
• Be available on the phone and on email for any questions from students about accommodation or information on university towns or cities
• Maintain an up to date record of availability in halls of residence in your town or city (our booking team will assist you with this)
• Establish and maintain relationship with local real estate agents to provide alternative accommodations
• Be familiar with our marketing materials and promote the website where appropriate
Requirement/Qualifications:
• Chinese students preferred
• High proficiency in English writing and speaking
• Strong sense of PR, and good at article writing (both Chinese and English)
• Customer oriented
• Flexible, independent and able to work under pressure
Currently we are looking for students in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Coventry, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton, Lancashire, Exeter, Glasgow, Leicester, Sunderland, Bristol, Cardiff, Liverpool, York, Leeds, Oxford, Cambridge and etc.
Payment and benefit: We offer competitive salary on a per hour basis and per booking basis. Also, we offer you your certificate of working experience.
